Build Confidence, Critical Thinking, and Communication Skills

Welcome to the Homeschool Debate Club, a weekly virtual gathering designed to help kids develop essential communication skills, boost their confidence, and explore new ideas through engaging, age-appropriate debates.
Whether your child is new to public speaking or eager to refine their skills, this club offers a supportive, fun environment where they can grow and thrive!

This club is about more than just debating—it’s about fostering skills that last a lifetime.

Each session is designed to build:

Confidence
Your learner will practice speaking in front of the group every week, learning how to share their ideas with clarity and poise.
Critical Thinking
Our guided discussions will help your learner analyze topics, consider different viewpoints, and craft logical arguments.
Communication
Your learner will practice public speaking in every single class, learning how to organize their ideas and speak clearly.
What Happens Each Week?
-
Interactive Warm-ups

We start each class with fun activities to get everyone comfortable and ready to participate.

-
Guided Topic Exploration
We’ll dive into an exciting, age-appropriate topic—ranging from “Should we ban plastic water bottles” to “Books are better than movies”.
-
Provided Resources
Your learner will receive a custom-curated "Debate Topic Guide" each week for the upcoming topic, an outline to prepare their case, and additional video resources. No need for any websites!
-
Practice and Feedback
Learners will work on presenting their arguments, with personalized coaching to help them improve.
-
Debates in Action
Learners take turns debating in small groups or as a class, practicing skills like rebuttals, persuasion, and clear communication.

Is it right for you?
This club is perfect for homeschool students who are curious, enjoy sharing their thoughts, or want to build communication and leadership skills. No prior debate experience is required—just a willingness to learn and have fun!Sessions are structured to be welcoming and engaging, ensuring all learners feel comfortable participating.
How long do I have to commit?
You don't! While our goal is to have a steady group of learners in each class so that they can build skills and relationships, there is no commitment beyond the week you sign up for. Hopefully, your learner will love it and will want to make this part of their weekly routine. In that case, you will be able to sign up in an ongoing style that renews each week. You are able to stop at any time. The only thing we ask is that you cancel at least 72 hours before the next class so that we can open that spot to another learner.
